2 Zulu spears assegai 19th century

 Two zulu assegai spears dating to the 19th century. These spears are associated with the two Iklwa spears also offered in this section. Small leaf shaped steel blades with lugs to the bottom. One collar with a shrunken hide mount, the other tightly bound with iron wire and grass. Both with wooden shafts ending with swollen butts, one having a 19th century woven grass repair to the centre section.  african
