Very nice Ottoman longun from the Balkans Boyliya, the stock profusely inlaid with brass and horn roundels, coloured green ivory, The miquelet flintlock mechanism in good working order the faces applied with sheet silver and finely engraved, the upper stock inlaid with panels of mother of pearl shell and engraved. The jaws of the lock retaining an original pressed sheet flint-holder – the first of its type we have seen. A most decorative very old firearm dating to the 18th century. middle east
