Scarce South East Asian Mak polearm

A rare ‘Mak’ polearm from South Eastern Asia. Very heavy steel blade, thick and robust with clipped end, fretwork decoration to this region with a small shaped waved feature to the blade front. Thick facetted steel collar with iron rings beneath, mounted onto a thick sturdy wooden handle.  19th century in date. southern asia
