Large heavy bladed Turkish Yataghan sword with silver mounts

A nice original Turkish Yatgahan sword. This is a large sword with a very good quality heavy steel blade, stamped to the centre of one side deeply with a makers mark. The hilt is and bolsters mounted with finely engraved silver, the grips of black horn shaped to the pommel. The original scabbard is wrapped with green coloured cord or fabric. A nice fighting weapon from the Ottoman Empire circa 1770, the scabbard with a cut to the back edge near the tip.
