Teke knife from the central Congo

A very attractive fine Teke knife from the central Congo. The steel blade very well forged and chiselled with refined decoration, the end pierced with a small hole, the edges and angular tip sharpened. The handle is wrapped with flattened and twisted copper strip around a flaring wooden pommel ( old chip). Retaining a nice aged patina throughout late 19th century. Congo/Zaire. 32 cms. african
