Lovely Islamic Ottoman or Arab Hawking Drum

A very nice example of a 19th century or earlier Islamic Bronze Hawking Drum. used by hawkers to call the falcon or hawk back to the falconer when hunting. Very complete example with original hide skin, and straps. The hide held by bronze ‘spikes’ which protrude around the rim. Diameter of drum approx 5 inches. Ottoman Turkey or Arabia. middle east
