Rare Ottoman North African dagger with Gold Inlaid Jade hilt and Flyssa blade

Description

A very nice and unusual Ottoman knife, the hilt mounted with sections of jade inlaid with gold designs, and steel mounts damascened in silver. Mounted with a Kabyle Flyssa Berber blade of Algerian origin. This dagger, blade and hilt are all contemporary and date to the 19th century. The blade of tapering steel, chiselled and inlaid with brass designs at the forte. Together with its original leather sheath the seam sewn with wire in typical turkish style.
