Description
A good example of an old 19th century Zulu spear ‘assegai’ carried by the zulu warriors in small bundles and used for stabbing and throwing at the enemy. The long shaft of wood with slightly flaring end, the steel head leaf-shaped and with an extended steel shaft below the neck, fixed firmly to the haft with the traditional band of cow or antelope tail shrunk hard into place. african
