A wonderful antique 19th century steel mace weapon from North India, the spherical head chiselled with decoration of flowers and scrolls, the outside edge studded with sharp four-sided spikes, one further to the tip, the shaft of steel with silver koftgari overlay (inlay) and two rounded balls delineating the handgrip at the end. very nice antique or oriental mace, circa 1850 indo persian axe
