Massive Amazon Club or Spear from Guiana

 A very large heavy War club from Guyana, previously French Guiana. Long paddle-like club or spear made of heavy palmwood. The tip end of triangular cross-section, flat to one face and ridged to the other with two small notches near the tip presumably to take some decorative binding or featherwork. The upper grip retaining a collar of woven cane and bark strip, some cotton binding above that. The shaft cylindrical, with an abruptly angled cutfoot. early-mid 20th century.
