small knife from Sumatra

Small knife from Sumatra. A  tribal knife of scarce form, the hilt nicely carved with decoration, and two forked pommel ends. This knife shares similarities to both battak and nias forms so could be either, the brass collar  is often found on nias weapons. old wear and damage throughout, the steel blade still very sharp, with a flaring tip. An old simple wooden sheath with some wire binding. Charming little piece 58 cms
