A rare and unusual Indian Haladie dagger. A stout, chamfered reinforced recurved blade to each end of the handle, with thickened tip and reinforced back edge, made from very hard steel. The centre grip chiselled with a raised banding for extra grip purchase, and a small steel knuckleguard protects the hand with two small dragon head styled ornaments to each side. The weapon comes complete with its two original velvet and gold braid covered sheaths for the blades rare survivals. 19th century, good condition, 60 cms long in sheaths
