Antique Thai Dha sword with gilt scabbard

 An interesting early 19th century Thai Dha sword. The scabbard very beautiful and made of bronze or copper which was originally gilt, lots of gilding visible and remaining. The blade simple but good quality steel, gently curving. The handle en suite to the shath also gilt, pommel lacking. This type of sword was used by Royal guards in the Thai palace durin the 18th and early 19th c.
