Large Indian Black buffalo hide Shield

 A large very old good quality Indian shield dhal used for war. Heavy domed black hide with a curled rim to stop weapons sliding off, four central steel bosses decorated with gold and pierced through with designs. the reverse with four iron rings for attaching handle straps. 18th or 19th century. 56 cms diameter.
