Old Indian Helmet with silver and gold decoration

A nice old helmet from India. Lobed bowl with raised ribbing descending down from the crown, the surfaces decorated with gold and silver patterns, the top surpmounted by a spike. The front with a steel nasal bar which can be fixed up or down, two plume holders with old blue feather plumes. The mail fixed around the bottom of the helmet edge from holes, in relatively good condition. Dark patina, some wear to the koftgari decoration in places. 19th century.
