19th century Kukri with tools
Description
A nice authentic old Nepalese Kukri Knife with a side pouch containing a number of small tools and utensils, the ‘swiss army’ knife of its day. The blade of the kukri is very well blade with a hollow ground surface to each face, a very sharp cho notch at the top. Thick spine. The handle is made of black horn with some carved decoration at the waist, small chip to the top pommel corner. Each of the tools also has a black horn handle, the rest made of steel including tweezers, knives, button hook, file etc. and a leather folded pouch for tinder. Original black hide covered sheath in pretty good condition, slit along the blade edge. 43 cms in sheath
