Pair of Chinese Hudiedao Butterfly swords 19th century

 A nice old pair of Chinese shortswords Hudiedao, made as a pair and originally enclosed in a dual scabbard. The blades are thick and good quality with traces of probably pattern welding, the mounts iron flattened so as to enable the pair to be held back to back, the handles /hilts of ribbed wood, flattened to the reverse. 19th century
