Indian Steel Kirach sword

 A nice example of an Indian firangi with kirach style cutlass blade. The hilt with large shaped hand and knuckle guards, bowl shaped disc pommel with a central spike for double handed use. The lower blade mount beautifully shaped with pierced panels, the blade of very good high quality steel fluted with fullers, and sharpened to the back edge at the tip. Later scabbard. Probably 18th century or earlier.
