A most unusual original Qing period Polarm of ‘Glaive’ type. Rare form of blade with trident like upper section and shaprpened side edges. Iron mounts including an oval guard, iron rivets and rivets to the wooden shaft foot. Remains of a label are undecipherable apart from the date 1862. Suprisingly light and wieldable, this is a fighting piece rather than ceremonial
