Fine Thai knife with silver and gold alloy mounts

A rare and fine Thai knife. The blade of thick stout iron, subtely shaped and with curved profile. The hilt mounted with various bands of silver, and gold alloys, chiselled and engraved with floral features. The hilt with stepped mounts with flower heads and petals. The grip of a single piece of black horn. Very unusual piece circa 1800
