Description
Lovely old tribal War club from Fiji, Pacific Islands Oceania. 19th century. Large wooden pole club known as a ‘Waka’, formed from single sapling with the shortened rootstock serving as flanges and protruberences on the head. Lovely rich glossy golden brown colour. The handle region carved in traditional zig-zag pattern to facilitate grip when wet. Good condition, minor age wear 44 inches long.
