Fine woven Cane shield from Congo Kundu,Konda, Ngata, Ntomba tribes

A very nicely woven cane/wicker shield from the Congo region of Africa, probably Konda tribe. Very fine weaving, with decoration regions and geometric patterns, the reverse with it’s wooden handle still attached and in good condition. The bottom edge with some old loss which is still strong and solid however, the shield is a very nice display piece, and dates to circa 1900.
