Lovely quality spear from the Congo region central Africa, high quality chiselled steel blade with elaborate shaping and detailing, the slender wooden shaft bound with copper strip for decoration and for balance, the end with a long steel spike. The quality and lightness of this spear can only be truly appreciated when held. Circa 1900.
