Good Tuareg steel lance Allarh with brass inlaid strip decoration

A good scarce Tuareg lance Allarh. Wholly constructed from steel with long flaring end, and round brass fitting. The length of the steel spear with thin inlaid brass strip decoration, and fine engraved lines, retaining an original handgrip of woven leather, a most interesting feature. The head with barbs to its base, and two further pairs of barbs below the neck. Good conditoin, some age wear. circa 1900
