Nice Dayak Sumpitan blowpipe with rare decorated steel blade

A good example of the Dayak Blowpipe from Borneo ‘Sumpitan’. Long example with woven cane at the tip in perfect condition, and retaining its broad leaf-shaped spearblade with scarce engraved ‘aso’ decoration and pierced holes at the base. The blowpipe drilled all the way through to enable a blowdart to be shot. circa 1900
