Fine 18th century Indian Matchlock gun Torador

 A very nice high quality Indian Matchlock musket. The barrel of extremely high quality tight damascus steel, the upper section with a complex design to the breech area, all the steel mounts to the side of the shaft, and the butt beautifully made from pierced pattern welded steel with diamond lozenge shaped watered pattern throughout. The barrel mounts of pierced and chiselled silver with designs of flower heads and birds, the barrel also fixed to the stock with original leather binding. One side plate inscribed with an armoury number S.K (Sileh Khana- armoury) number 12. This piece probably originates from one of the major armouries/forts in Rajasthan.  A high quality piece.
